The inspiration for this work lay partly in the patina of early 20th century mechanical technology that is so evident in this subject. There was, however, more. I'm interesting in how this well-used machine is still functional. It stands is sharp contrast with contemporary technology which is considered "obsolete" after only a very few short years.
Here, we see the "Cornflower Blue" pattern. This pattern was commonly used on a wide range of kitchenware items by the Corning Glass Company.
